Fantasy Life i Showcases Upgrades for the Nintendo Switch 2

Nintendo Switch 2 might be shooting the breeze, and now the game Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time just illuminated for the fans what things will really look like in the upgraded version of the game. Before Fantasy Life, I said players could expect better graphics and faster loading. Still, they have just finished spilling all the beans on just exactly how much better the Switch 2 version will be.


Having Nintendo Switch 2 to play old Switch games, many fans will now transfer their big game collection to this new system. But instead of just playing the same old games, many Switch games are upgraded, charging a bit extra with the result of a better-running game on this new, stronger gear.


Fantasy Life i is one of these games, and now the team has put themselves to work in bringing two videos depicting the chief modifications between the Switch and Switch 2 versions of the game. The first features beautiful scenery available through the Switch 2, with the character cutting down a tree. While both look fine, the instantaneous difference clearly favors the Switch 2. The visuals are crisper, and when zooming into the detailing, it's all in more prominent view; the character looks almost excellent with none of the roughness and flickering seen in the old version.


A new video reveals that the Switch 2 will have much improved game loading features. For Switch 2 users, the well-acclaimed game Fantasy Life has a 6-second load time compared to the 12 seconds it took on previous consoles. Teleportation Gates have improved as well, taking less than 10 seconds from selecting a travel destination to arriving, a significant improvement from the previous 17 seconds.


Unfortunately, Switch 2 users will have to pay premium prices for the new addition, as Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time is not a free upgrade. The new addition comes out on June 5, the same day Switch 2 releases. Although there are no additional features, fans of the series who have plans of switching to the new console will appreciate the reduced load times with the upgrade.
